Business Development Manager
The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving growth by cultivating relationships with high-net-worth individuals, while profoundly understanding and articulating TMG's value proposition – you don't get one Advisor, you get TMG.
This role plays a critical role in expanding TMG's client base and driving organic growth through the acquisition of new TMG clients. Maintaining a strong knowledge of regulatory requirements, financial planning concepts, market trends, and the RIA industry is the key to building trust and credibility.
Specific role responsibilities
- Develop new business by meeting with prospective TMG clients across the San Francisco market.
- Prepare and lead prospect meetings with high-net-worth referrals.
- Introduce TMG's comprehensive retirement planning process to prospective clients (financial, tax, and estate planning).
- Manage new client opportunities through the sales lifecycle via Salesforce.
- Actively communicate with prospective clients, providing guidance on cash flows, tax planning strategies, estate/insurance, investment goals, and retirement planning needs.
- Provide mentoring, coaching, and development opportunities for TMG's Client Associate team.
- Provide sales support to TMG's Wealth Advisors to help secure new client referrals.
- Continuously reinforce TMG's value proposition with prospective clients.
- Participate in professional development, knowledge-sharing, and learning opportunities offered by TMG.
Candidate requirements
- Bachelor's degree, and 5+ year of professional experience with a track record of business development success.
- CFP® preferred
- Ability to make natural connections quickly, virtually and in-person
- Strong track record of meeting and exceeding ambiguous sales targets/goals
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A motivated, self-starter
- Ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment
Compensation
- Base Salary: $200,000-$250,000, plus 3-year pay on new business
